Engaged: Nataleigh and Kyle

We are so excited to introduce Nataleigh and Kyle! They planning 4th of July nuptials and a reception filled with lots of handmade details to enjoy with all their friends and family. Enjoy getting to know this adorable couple, and their engagement photos by Linda Rivard Photography

How did the two of you meet and how long have you been together?
Almost five years ago, I was out with a girlfriend and I met Kyle through a mutual friend. We started talking and realized we had a lot in common. We made it official on July 4, 2010 at the Lake of the Ozark while watching fireworks. That’s why we picked July 4 for our wedding day!

Tell us about one of your favorite dates!
One of my favorite dates would be when Kyle took me to Chicago for my birthday. We went with a group of friends we saw the sites, shopped at the magnificent mile, went to Russ and Division Streets and we ate Chicago style pizza.

When did you know it was the real thing?
After about a year or two, we are each other’s best friend and we have a close relationship. And just knowing we can’t spend our lives without each other.

Was the proposal a surprise? How did it happen?
It was a complete surprise, On July 2, 2014; Kyle came home from work and told me that he had something for me that would change the rest of our lives. I wasn’t thinking that he was going to propose! He handed me a diamond scratch off ticket. I said, “I need to get a lucky penny.” He said, “ I have one in my pocket.” He got down on one knee and pulled the ring out of his pocket, and he asked me, “ Will You Marry Me?”

How do you envision your wedding day?
I have a lot of envisions for my wedding. I just want everything to go smoothly. But I know its just going to be perfect. I get to marry the man of my dreams.

Are there any fun family traditions or special details that you are planning to incorporate?
One fun thing we will be doing is fireworks and sparklers, since we are getting married on Independence Day.

Bride, what are you most looking forward to on your big day?
Seeing Kyle’s face when I walk down the aisle.

Groom, what are you most looking forward to on the big day?
Mostly the reception, the ceremony I will just be nervous, but the reception I just want to enjoy introducing my new wife to all my friends and family!

What are we both looking forward to?
Having the time of our lives with our friends and family.
